Individuals should be current or former operating executives who have either run a public or private company in the Fortune 1000, or a major division.

Principals

Black Watch is always looking for talented senior-level executives to be principals who bring a unique set of diverse experiences to the team or its Board of Advisors, whether it be industry knowledge, senior relationships, or skills. Individuals should have or have had an operational, consulting, investment banking, restructuring, or private equity background.

Black Watch does not actively seek principals who are from a cookie cutter background. Rather, we feel sometimes an unconventional background and way of thinking that has had conventional training provides more value to clients in a market that is increasingly competitive.

In general, professionals with a unique set of business and educational value-added experiences are highly regarded by Black Watch. Key attributes that reinforce and maximize Black Watch's culture and identity include people who are always striving for excellence for their clients and themselves, have sound business judgement and extremely high standards of integrity and ethics, are team players, and have a unique and excellent educational background.

In addition to these general qualities, Black Watch and its clients value highly principals who have convential training but who can think "out-of-the box" and are intuitive, are aggressive and street smart, and who are willing to get down in the trenches and roll up their sleeves when necessary.

Associates

On the junior level side, the firm is always looking for Associates that have had import client and deal experiences earlier at more structured consulting and investment banking firms.

Criteria for Associates include:

2-5 years of consulting, investment banking, or restructuring experience.
Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
Be highly self-motivated.
Applicant must have a strong bachelors degree or better (though not necessary).
